Are there subscriptions or monthly fees?
No. You buy your installed system outright and own it. There is no compulsory I-Spy subscription or monthly equipment fee. Additional visits, repairs or upgrades are agreed and quoted separately.
What should a pharmacy consider before installing CCTV?
Plan security coverage around entrances, stock access and other identified risks while protecting patient confidentiality. The GPhC highlights privacy during consultations. Camera positioning should avoid unnecessary capture of consultations, prescriptions and computer screens.
CCTV must be lawful, necessary and proportionate. Before installation, the pharmacy should review its purpose, privacy information, access arrangements and recording policy against current ICO guidance. Installing cameras alone does not establish GPhC or data-protection compliance.
We can discuss camera views, recorder location and authorised user access with the pharmacy team. Read the ICO CCTV guidance and the GPhC guidance on patient confidentiality when planning your system.
Can you cover more than one building?
Yes, subject to a suitable design and connections between the buildings. We assess cable routes or appropriate wireless links.
Can several people use the system?
Supported systems can provide access for authorised users. We agree the access requirements and explain the available account controls.
How long will recordings be kept?
Storage duration depends on camera count, image settings, recording mode and storage capacity. We size the recorder around an agreed requirement.
Can you add cameras to our existing system?
We assess spare recorder capacity, compatibility, cabling and storage before recommending an expansion.
