Are there subscriptions or monthly fees?
No. You buy your installed system outright and own it. There is no compulsory I-Spy subscription or monthly equipment fee. Additional visits, repairs or upgrades are agreed and quoted separately.
How does CCTV without a subscription compare with cloud cameras?
Compare the complete cost over the years you expect to keep the system: equipment, installation, recording subscriptions, maintenance and any optional monitoring. Check which features remain available if you cancel a cloud plan, including recorded playback, downloads and alerts; these vary by provider and model.
With a suitable local recorder, footage is stored at your property within the configured storage capacity. Ask how long recordings will be retained, how clips are exported and what happens if the internet connection fails. Remote viewing needs a working connection; local recording and power-backup arrangements should be confirmed for the equipment quoted.
I-Spy systems are bought outright without a compulsory equipment subscription. Optional professional monitoring, maintenance and your broadband or mobile data costs are separate considerations. We explain the recording, app access and ongoing costs before installation.
How many cameras will I need?
That depends on the entrances, boundaries and views you want. We plan the coverage first and recommend a suitable number of cameras.
Can I see the cameras on my phone?
Compatible systems support remote viewing through an app with a suitable internet connection. Setup and a demonstration are included in the installation.
Will the cameras work at night?
We select suitable low-light or illumination options for the location. The image you can achieve depends on the camera, its position and the available light.
Can an existing CCTV system be upgraded?
We can assess your existing cameras, wiring and recorder to establish what can be retained and what needs replacing.
